Atid believes that different backgrounds and perspectives enrich the Jewish experience and the Jewish people. We understand that our other identities inform our Jewish identity.
For us, there are many ways to be Jewish, live Jewishly, and find meaning in Judaism. Our practices and rituals are deeply grounded in tradition. At the same time, we embrace the openness, flexibility and innovation of Reform Judaism, which allows us to make being Jewish relevant in an ever changing world.
Atid recognizes that we are all seekers, each of us at a different place in our Jewish journey. We welcome all levels of Jewish knowledge and experience to learn, participate and practice with us.
At Atid we meet people where they are and accept them for who they are, regardless of what they look like or where they come from. Two Jewish parents, one Jewish parent, no Jewish parents. Gay, straight, bisexual, transgender or questioning. Married, partnered or single. Secular, devout, spiritual and curious. Our tent is big and it is open. We invite all who wish to enter to come in.
Atid is harnessing the influence, creativity and energy of this generation and the power of Jewish values, rituals and traditions to create the Jewish tomorrow today.
